Kabaka vacations in Namibia after treatment

The Monarch, however, did not immediately return home but took a vacation instead in Namibia.

On the advice of the medics, Kabaka Mutebi is taking a break from work to focus on recuperation.

The doctors advised that he take some rest before he can resume his official duties,” the Kingdom stated on Sunday.

Yesterday, the first images of the king in over appeared two months appeared online has he vacationed in the Southern African desert country.

There he was visited by Joseph Ndawula, the Ugandan Ambassador to Namibia.

Premier pressured

Since travelling to Europe in late March this year, Kabaka Mutebi left behind an anxious Kingdom, with many subjects seeking answers from the Kingdom.

In the last Kingdom cabinet meeting (Lukiiko), several chiefs tasked Prime Minister (Katikkiro) Charles Peter Mayiga to speak about the whereabouts and well-being of the king.

Prof Bardu Kateregga, of the chiefs, even asked to be allowed to travel to Europe and check on the ailing monarch.

Other big voices have equally come out including NUP President Bobi Wine, with questions about the king’s whereabouts.

Katikkiro Mayiga however, has constantly dismissed these concerns and accused those with questions, of serving selfish interests and politicizing the monarch’s illness.
