The school raised Shs5 million that will be committed to the treatment of children with heart defects under the Healthy Heart Foundation.
The funds were collected from students, staff and parents.
This was done in just five days, according to a statement released by the school on May 10.
"Thanks to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved," reads the statement.
"The funds were raised through a range of activities, including Car wash, donations, ticket sales, Talent show, Movies, and exhibitions."
During Charity Week, reads the statement, students learned about the importance of giving back to the community and helping those in need.
They were encouraged to think about the causes they care about and to take action to make a difference. This was spearheaded by the school’s interact club.
Kabojja International School officials handed over the funds to the Healthy Heart Foundation at an event held at the school on Thursday, May 10.
Owek Ritah Namyalo, the CEO of the Health Heart Foundation, thanked the students for having generous hearts and confirmed that the funds will be put to great use.
"The students will also get a chance to see the child who will be using these funds for surgery before and after the surgery," the statement says.
The headteacher of Kabojja International School, James Arthur, praised the students for the spirit of giving and the efforts put in during the charity week.
"It’s an attribute we embrace as part of our curriculum," he said, according to the statement.
"We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of Charity Week. The school is proud of its students, staff, and parents for their generosity and commitment to making a positive difference in the world."
