Baguma encouraged ongoing participation in the remaining five weeks, emphasising that many prizes are still up for grabs, including a grand prize of UGX 50 million. The Laga Swagga promotion involves consumers purchasing Uganda Waragi Premium, Coconut, Lemon and Ginger, Bond 7, Gilbeys, or V&A, who then enter the promotion by submitting a special code found under the bottle cap via SMS to 6688.

Every entry qualifies for instant cash prizes and a chance to be entered into a weekly draw for larger winnings. These draws are broadcast every Thursday evening on popular television channels, including NBS, NTV, Bukedde TV, and Galaxy TV.

Baguma stressed that the promotion is open only to individuals over the age of 18 and advised participants to drink responsibly.

One of the recent winners, Shafiq Kyewalabye, a boda boda rider from Nansana, won UGX 500,000. Initially sceptical, Shafiq shared his joy after receiving his prize. "At first, I didn’t believe it when I got the call, but it was real! I got my money; that’s why I confirm and encourage everyone to participate. You could be the next winner, just like me. Thank you, UBL, for my money," he said.

To date, the Laga Swagga promotion has awarded UGX 230 million in airtime and UGX 24.5 million in weekly cash prizes to lucky participants. With five weeks left in the promotion, customers across Uganda still have the opportunity to win additional cash, airtime, and other exciting prizes as they enjoy their favourite UBL spirits.
