Video: Bishop Zac Niringiye injured in Ntinda robbery

Retired Anglican Bishop Zac Niringirye this Wednesday morning escaped with head injuries from an attack by an unknown gang in Ntinda, a Kampala suburb.

  • Assailants stole his phone and fled, leaving the bishop with blood coming out of his head

The former Kampala Bishop was jogging in the morning hours when thugs moving on a bodaboda attacked him.

Eyewitnesses say one of them hit him with a jumping kick, sending him tumbling to the ground.

He then made off with the bishop's belongings including his phone, according to the first responders

The cleric was found lying on the ground with blood coming out of his head.

He was rushed to hospital on a bodaboda.

This isn’t the first time that Bishop Niringiye has been attacked in this fashion.

Back in 2021, he was hit on the head with a brick by robbers in Ntinda.

At the time he was having an evening stroll near Legacy Courts in Ntinda.

The assailants made off with his phone.
