In 2019, her mobilisation efforts for the ruling party, the National Resistance Movement, would earn her the post of presidential advisor for Kampala affairs, charged with coordinating young people living in slum areas of Kampala.

Ahead of 2021 elections, she was one of the vocal celebrities who rallied for support for the incumbent president, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

Buikwe Woman MP post is currently occupied by Mutasingwa Diana Kagyenyi, a minister of state in the office of the vice-president. She is also a member of the National Resistance Movement.

The state of affairs presents interesting grounds on how the elections will unfold, starting with the NRM primaries, where the party will elect its flag bearers for the general elections.
