1st September has come to be filled with social media buzz, as Prophet Elvis Mbonye's’ followers, Gods’ Remnants as they are called, annually celebrate him. Akin to Hollywood’s met gala, netizens stare in amazement at the glitz and glamour that encompasses the red carpet. Like kings and queens, Remnants sweep the Zoe Grounds with long trains, waltzing purposefully as if to receive a crown. Funny how they lure us with their poise, only to lay it down for a foremost guest.

With a blend of humility and excellence, luxury and pomp, Prophet Elvis Mbonye has come to offend many religious leaders and lay men alike. They can’t understand why people would love a ‘mere man’ so much, they’re willing to lay down their reputations for him, going to lengths in expression of their love. But when a man has demonstrated the superiority of the Kingdom of God over the kingdoms of this world, planting and uprooting leaders in the top most countries of the world, revealing secrets that unveil the truth of God, he ceases to be a ‘mere man’ and to think of him as such is itself folly.
Think about someone that stands before multitudes, steps into the Oscars and details the winners of various categories, months before nominations are released? How about one that sees and stops an asteroid headed for earth, way before NASA’s advanced technology and expertise? Is this really a mere man? How can someone who like you and I, has only two eyes peer into the future of nations, and determine the course of their leadership with but a word of prophecy? Isn’t this evidence of a divine influence and a mystical feature of God?
Taking the stage during the Sunday’s celebration, Prophet Elvis Mbonye highlighted that he has been made by the Grace of God, and that is why he is very distinctly different from those made by the systems of the world. He went on to remind everyone the reason he exists to advance the kingdom of God, and that everything he does is to demonstrate that Jesus is King of kings and Lord of lords. Now if a man by the spirit of God sees things that men with their ‘sophisticated technology’ do not see, it goes to show the superiority and supremacy of God.
This supremacy that Prophet Elvis Mbonye has continually demonstrated is one of the many reasons 1st September is set aside to honor and celebrate him. He has walked in the faith, hope and love of God, giving up his life for the children of God, and living as a tangible expression of God. Stepping into places deemed too high for the church, Prophet Elvis Mbonye is evidence that there is no seat of authority and influence above the throne of God. For the thousands whose lives have been utterly transformed, who have been carried from destitute living into abundance, honor is the least they can offer.
Prophet Elvis Mbonye you see, isn’t just a stylish man of God who mesmerizes crowds with his prophetic gift. He is a father and a friend, who has opened his arms to shower the love of God upon the broken, healing hearts and renewing minds to the truth of Christ. His mandate to awaken humanity to the God life is seen as countries across Africa and the entire world gathered in celebration. Represented by leaders from the August House among others, Ghana has demonstrated that the voice of God is key in their centers of power, who will travel across the continent to hear what God is saying through Prophet Elvis Mbonye. Kenya, Burundi and Tanzania were represented by various men and women of God, also keen to hear the word of God. Uganda was represented by churches from all regions of the country, society icons, cultural leaders among many dignitaries.
Enduring contempt from the world, and relentless in their love, Gods’ Remnants have showed the world the extent of their love and celebration for the gift that Prophet Elvis Mbonye is. Unwavering in their conviction, the Remnants have demonstrated what it means to receive and honor the Lord Jesus Christ, bringing to life scriptures such as Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine (1Timothy 5:17) and I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.'” (Mathew 23:39). Moreover the astounding miracles, testimonies and life transformation of believers in attendance of Prophet Elvis Mbonye’s fellowship attest to the truth that he who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward (Mathew 10:41).
