After leaving the venue, Kyagulanyi and his team exited their vehicles and attempted a procession up to Bulindo town. Despite police advice against it, they insisted on proceeding, which led to the road being closed and police intervening to stop the procession.

During the ensuing altercation, Kyagulanyi allegedly sustained injuries. Police officers on the scene claim he stumbled while getting into his vehicle, causing the injury, whereas Kyagulanyi and his team assert that he was shot.

An investigation will be conducted to clarify the facts.

He was taken to Najaeem Medical Centre in Bulindo for first aid.

The police will investigate the alleged shooting and any related incidents.
