On Friday, Minister Barugahara shared a video on his social media platforms sent to him by Ms. Nakisuyi, in which she vehemently denies the allegations made by Ali's family that she attempted to extort her husband by leveling rape accusations against him.

The minister captioned the video, calling on his followers to decide where the truth lies.

In the video, Nakisuyi vehemently denied accusations from Ali’s family that she was attempting to steal his wealth by levelling false claims of sexual abuse.

According to Nakisuyi, after hospital examinations verified that her daughter had been abused, Ali called her from prison and attempted to offer her a settlement.

She stated, "Haji Ali called me from jail and asked to compensate me by giving me his house in Mutundwe and Shs 20 million for my daughter's treatment. I refused his offer."

She further explained that both her family and Ali’s tried to convince her to accept the offer, but she stood firm.

"When it became clear that I was not going to accept, that’s when they made up the story that I was trying to steal his wealth," she added.

Nakisuyi, who maintains she is financially independent, stressed that her only wish is to see justice served for her daughter, calling on Minister Balaam to investigate the matter thoroughly.

She pleaded with Minister Balaam to investigate the matter and save her, claiming that she was being framed.

The case has been the subject of much public scrutiny and debate, with various individuals and media outlets offering their perspectives. TV and radio host Ruth Kalibbala Bwanika has also faced backlash after airing a story about the case on her YouTube channel.

Ms. Bwanika initially supported Nakisuyi's claims, but later faced criticism as more details emerged, including allegations from Nakisuyi's other daughter that she was making up the story to steal her husband's property. Some bloggers accused Ms. Bwanika of conniving with Nakisuyi in a theft scheme.

However, Ms. Bwanika defended her stance, stating that her intention was not to side with Nakisuyi but to get justice for an innocent child.
