Police said a task team had been sent to the crime scene to collect available evidence for further investigations.

Preliminary reports indicate that an unidentified gunman armed with a submachine gun opened fire on the vehicle, resulting in the fatal shooting of Tusubira Ibrahim, who was seated in the passenger seat at the time of the attack,” the statement, which was signed off by Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police Public Relations Officer, read.

The Territorial Police at Kira Road is actively investigating the murder. Our dedicated task teams are currently on the ground, working diligently to gather all the available evidence and conduct thorough investigations into this heinous crime,” it further read.

The slain blogger was gunned down last night (roughly 9:20pm) as he entered his house in Kyanja Central Zone.

Reasons behind his murder are still unknown.

A video of the 59-year-old motormouthed blogger in support of the murder of the now deceased Minister of Labour, Employment and Industries, Rtd. Col. Charles Okello Engola, has since been circulating on social media.

In the video, Isma says the victim deserved what befell him given that his bodyguard had not been paid for a long period of time yet he had responsibilities to take care of.

You have made people who work for you suffer yet you live a good life. The people who work for you toil to give you a comfortable life but they go unappreciated,” he said adding that the deceased failed to pay the man yet he was a minister for labour.

Isma was raised in a typical Muslim family and had 39 siblings. In total they were 40 siblings raised by a Tabliq man.

He was a professional painter and held a Bachelors of Commerce (External) from Makerere University.

The slain was living in Sweden where he did odd jobs before relocating back to Uganda.

He later ventured into blogging which earned him popularity for his controversial commentary.
