Early birthday wishes pour in for Museveni as he turns 80

Ugandans are taking to social media to extend birthday wishes to President Yoweri Museveni.

President Museveni is turning 80 this week

Gen Museveni who has led Uganda for 38 years will turn 80 years next weekend on September 15th.

No announcement has been made yet about how the Head of State will mark his special day, but reports suggest he plans to celebrate it Luwero district where he was based during the 1980a guerilla war that ushered him in power.

Several government leaders and supporters took to social media to wish Museveni a happy birthday.

House Speaker Anita Among wrote on Monday, “On behalf of Parliament of Uganda and on my own behalf, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to HE the President, Gen Kaguta Museveni for your exemplary stewardship and visionary leadership that has guided our great nation to stability, growth, and prosperity.

As you celebrate your 80th birthday, we recognize the profound impact you have had on Uganda’s progress and unity.

May the Almighty continue to bless you with many more years of health, wisdom, and strength to lead and serve our nation. Happy birthday, Your Excellency!,” she added

The Uganda Police’s Head of Criminal Investigations, AIG Tom Magambo posted, “Mzee. My colleagues ⁦ at CID and I, wish you a Happy Birthday. Numbers 6:24-25

Others who shared messages include the Minister of State for Disaster Preparedness Lillian Aber who posted, “Ladit @KagutaMuseveni. We thank God for your life and celebrate your achievements on earth everyday. Your existence on earth did not only transform Uganda but the entire world. May the almighty continue giving you more wisdom and good health. Happy birthday the father of the Nation and Africa.
