Despite the Government's financial constraints, Nabbanja stated that the Government will design measures to ensure that all resources required by the Commission for the effective operation of the electoral roadmap are provided.
"The Prime Minister's Office will ensure that the necessary funds are released to the Commission to carry out the activities outlined in the roadmap for the next general election," Nabbanja said.

This new development comes against the backdrop of a new electoral road to the 2026 presidential and parliamentary elections.
According to New Vision, a local newspaper in Uganda, the Electoral Commission has released a budget of sh1.387 trillion for implementing the road map.
