The historic and luxurious 4-star hotel located in Nakasero is joining the fast growing City Blue collection starting June 2023, according to a statement issued by the company yesterday, June 13.
One of Africa’s leading hotel chain CityBlue Hotels has acquired Kampala's Emin Pasha Hotel in Kampala.

It will however, maintain its name and identity, the statement adds.

Named after Mehmed Emin Pasha, the former governor of the Egyptian province of Equatoria (Northern Uganda and South Sudan), it is one of the oldest and most unique hotels in Kampala.
Known as Kampala's first boutique hotel, Emini Pasha boasts of impressive recreation and meeting facilities including a beautiful garden, an outdoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room, state-of-the-art gym, spa, all-day-dining restaurant, rooftop restaurant and meeting rooms.
CityBlue, which was founded by British businessman Jameel Verjee in 2013 in neighboring Rwanda, has since expanded across eight major cities in East Africa, following a path to create one of the leading multi-jurisdictional African hotel chains.
