Arua Hill SC humiliate KCCA FC 3-1

Arua Hill Sports Club are proving to be a force to reckon with in their second season in top-tier football.

In the 2021/22 season, the Kongolo boys sent shock waves beating CECAFA Champions and the then defending champions at the time, Express FC. They went ahead to earn a reputation as giant killers and capped it off with a derby victory against Onduparaka FC in Arua city.

Now, this high hopes and title champions ripe in the 2022/23 season, the Kongolo boys have showed no respect for Uganda Premier League giants at the Barifa Stadium.

KCCA FC have fallen a resounding 3-1 to the home side in one of the statement victories from the Arua Hill SC.

Isaac Ogwang opened scoring in the 12th minute as he found the back of the net with a header from a Wahab free kick after Majwega had fouled Allan Mugalu. Ogwang’s effort ensued Arua Hill led at the break 1-0.

Just two minutes into the second half, Arua Hill SC caught KCCA FC napping as captain Rashid Toha doubled the lead to give cushion to the home team leading into the better part of the game.

Rashid Kawawa joined the party with another 59th minute goal to complete the onslaught on KCCA FC.

KCCA FC had a couple of chances to respond but failed to convert with Allan Okello being denied by the keeper.

The Kasasiro boys salvaged an added time consolation courtesy of an own goal by Bright Vuni in the 93rd minute to save face.
