NBS Sport and Uganda Golf Union forge new partnership

In a landmark agreement celebrated at the Next Media Park, NBS Sport and the Uganda Golf Union have joined forces to revolutionize golf coverage in Uganda. The partnership promises to bring about a wave of change in how Ugandans engage with and understand the sport of golf.

Joe Kigozi, the General Manager of NBS Sport, shared his excitement about the collaboration, emphasizing NBS Sport's ambitious goals.

"Our aim is to redefine sports broadcasting in Uganda by providing extensive coverage of golf," Kigozi stated.

"Through live streams and broadcasts, we intend to showcase every aspect of golfing events, from local tournaments to international competitions."

The President of the Uganda Golf Union, Dr. Jackson Were, underscored the partnership's significance in making golf more accessible to all Ugandans.

"We believe that visibility is key to fostering a deeper appreciation for golf," Dr. Were explained.

"With NBS Sport as our official broadcaster, we are confident that golf will reach a broader audience, inspiring a new generation of enthusiasts."

Kin Kariisa, CEO of Next Media Group, reflected on the longstanding collaboration between Next Media and the Uganda Golf Union.

"Over the years, we have been proud supporters of Ugandan sports," Kariisa remarked. "This partnership represents a new chapter in our commitment to showcasing the diversity and talent within Uganda's sporting landscape."

Looking ahead, NBS Sport plans to equip its reporters with specialized training in golf coverage, ensuring that their broadcasts are both informative and engaging.

"Our mission at NBS Sport is not only to report on sports but to champion Ugandan sports," Kariisa affirmed. "This partnership will enable us to elevate the profile of golf and highlight its importance in our nation's sporting narrative."

As this partnership unfolds, Ugandans can anticipate comprehensive golf coverage that celebrates the country's sporting achievements and promotes a deeper understanding of the game.
