Bebe Cool has expressed disapproval of Abba Marcus for speaking publicly about his family's private matters, warning that such actions could lead to regret in the future.

"You can’t just open your mouth to talk to your parents like that," said Cool, whose real name is Moses Ssali. "You have to humble yourself; otherwise, it comes with curses. Right now, as a young person, you may not see it, but once you grow older and stand in your father’s shoes, you’ll understand."

Abba Marcus, the son of Jose Chameleone, has recently drawn attention after discussing his father’s health challenges and revealing longstanding issues within their extended family.

Bebe Cool, a close friend of Jose Chameleone, shared these remarks during the unveiling of his annual list of top-performing Ugandan artistes. The event, which was televised, also saw the Gagamel Entertainment boss comment on the state of the music industry, noting a slight decline in performance this year.

He attributed this to factors such as evolving technology, the rise of social media, and economic challenges, which he said have had both positive and negative impacts on the industry.

Here are some of the artistes featured in Bebe Cool's annual review:

Elijah Kitaka: Swangz Avenue has struck gold with Elijah Kitaka. His style is fresh, relatable, and poised for success across Africa and beyond. "If I were starting out in music, I’d want to be like him," Bebe Cool said.

Azawi - Masavu: "Azawi is a force to reckon with," Bebe Cool remarked. Despite her less-than-impressive fashion sense, her musical talent knows no borders. He advised her to steer clear of politics, adding: "Unless you plan to quit music, stay out of political statements. Take it from me; the burden is overwhelming and demands physical, financial, and individual commitment."

D-Star - Ozambe: This ghetto-born artiste has created a massive hit with Ozambe, a song that has people dancing with unmatched joy.

Kapeke - Swiririri: Kapeke’s music evokes nostalgia for the early days of Ugandan music struggles. "His songs are enjoyable, and he carries himself with elegance as an artiste," Bebe Cool said, though he admitted knowing little about him personally.

Acidic Vokoz: Known for pulling a massive audience at Lugogo, Acidic Vokoz remains enigmatic even to Bebe Cool. "I don’t even know what he looks like, but his performance cannot be ignored," he noted. He advised the artiste to work on catchy hooks and focus on improving his brand.

Ava Peace and Dax Vibez - Tabbu: Praising Ava Peace as a great talent with strong management, Bebe Cool predicted her rise on the Ugandan music scene. "I hope she remains disciplined and consistent with her team," he added.

Bebe Cool’s detailed list and observations have sparked discussions about the future of Uganda’s music industry and the challenges artistes face in an ever-changing landscape.
