Despite all odds stacked against him, singer Edirisa Musuza, aka Eddy Kenzo, brought out his A-game to win over legislator and minister Nyamutoro Phiona. Here’s how he effortlessly charmed her.
Winning over a high-value woman is no easy feat, but as Kenzo sang in Practical, the singer is indeed more practical than theoretical.
In a recent interview with Next Radio, Nyamutoro subconsciously revealed how Kenzo made his move and won her heart. In these heartfelt confessions, we decode the top five bad boy tactics Kenzo deployed in ‘Project Nyamutoro’.

Confidence is Key
Kenzo gathered the confidence to propose a meeting with Nyamutoro, veiling his true intentions to express his interest in her. With his cards close to his chest, he laid the groundwork for an impression that Nyamutoro wouldn’t easily suspect.
“I don’t know how he found me, but he still did. We got to talk, and we set our first appointment. It was meant to be a business project. He claimed it was a project, but that project has never manifested. That was when I got to realise that I was the project of interest,” Nyamutoro revealed.

Genuine Interest
Kenzo showed genuine interest in Nyamutoro’s life, interests, and goals, which stirred her curiosity. He revealed that he had been following her, and they had several mutual friends, a tactic that made her feel valued and seen.
“By that time, I had intentions to run for youth member of parliament; he was a tourism ambassador. He said he had been following me and we had mutual friends. So, we agreed we would work together,” she shared.

Challenging but Respectful
Kenzo made Nyamutoro step out of her comfort zone by presenting her with a challenge.
To address his proposal for a win-win campaign strategy, Nyamutoro spent her time researching and preparing presentations on how they could achieve their goals.
“The next meeting we had, being the workaholic I am, I prepared files I had done my research,” she said.
Take the Attention
During their next meeting, as Nyamutoro was busy making her presentations, Kenzo stayed on his phone, which drew her attention. This move, though seemingly dismissive, sparked strong emotions in Nyamutoro, which Kenzo skilfully transformed into affection.
“I was presenting and the whole time he was on his phone. I got irritated and asked him if he did not like the ideas I was presenting because I had lots of other things to do,” she recounted.
Be Decisive
At the height of Nyamutoro’s irritation, Kenzo pulled out his final card and made his proposal, leaving the ball firmly in her court.
While she was expecting his opinion on her presentation, he simply said, “I want to marry you.”
Though Nyamutoro stormed out of the meeting in anger, it wasn’t long before the emotion evolved into love.
