Kampala joined the global New Year celebrations with festivities lighting up the city.
This year, premium party enthusiasts chose to toast to 2024 and welcome 2025 at a legendary nightspot, with an event hosted by Malembe and powered by Don Julio Tequila. Aptly named The Countdown with Mexico's Finest Tequila, the night was filled with energy and excitement.
As the clock struck midnight, revelers poured outside to witness a breathtaking fireworks display that lit up the industrial area sky.
The three-minute spectacle brought hugs, cheers, and toasts as partygoers celebrated a prosperous start to 2025. Clinking Don Julio glasses, the crowd revelled in the joyous atmosphere.
Reflecting on Don Julio’s journey, Simon Lapyem, Innovations Manager at UBL, remarked, “This year has been pivotal as we introduced Don Julio to the Ugandan market.

The blue-and-white-themed party, inspired by Don Julio’s branding, brought together Kampala’s premium partygoers for an unforgettable night. Inside the venue, some of Kampala’s top DJs ensured non-stop entertainment.
DJ Anselm kicked things off, followed by Etania, who energised the crowd with her signature Amapiano vibe. DJs Kasbaby and Bryan kept the momentum going with electrifying sets. Host Timothy Code charmed the audience before DJ Alza capped off the night with a masterful musical journey.
