Next Media is set to undergo significant structural changes to enhance efficiency and align with its evolving goals, according to an internal memo released on January 10, 2025.
The organisation is embarking on a Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) initiative, focusing on merging certain roles, expanding the scope of others, and refilling key leadership positions.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Rogers Baguma, outlined the details in the memo, stating that the adjustments are aimed at ensuring Next Media remains competitive in a rapidly changing business environment.
To achieve our goals for 2025, he said, we are streamlining operations by merging certain roles to enhance efficiency, expanding some roles to match strategic priorities, and refilling key positions to strengthen our leadership team.
As part of the process, the company’s top management will take a seven-day leave of absence starting January 13, 2025. This period will allow leaders to finalise decisions on role responsibilities and ensure a seamless transition.
Baguma assured staff that the company would maintain business continuity during this phase and communicate interim arrangements as necessary.
“This BPR and role realignment are critical for improving productivity, efficiency, and adaptability in our operations,” he added.
Employees have been encouraged to contact the Chief of Staff with any questions about the process.
