The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) this afternoon, March 12, briefed Education Minister Janet Museveni ahead of the release of the 2024 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examination results.
The UNEB team, led by Chair Prof. Celestino Obua and Executive Director Dan Odongo, confirmed that the results will be released on Friday, March 14, at 11:00 am at State House Nakasero.
A total of 142,009 candidates sat for the 2024 UACE exams at 2,634 centres across Uganda. Of these, 61,968 were female, while 80,041 were male.
The results will play a key role in determining university and tertiary institution admissions both locally and internationally. UNEB reassured the public that the examination process was transparent and credible, ensuring that students’ performance is accurately reflected.
Parents, students, and school administrators are encouraged to follow the official release and use UNEB’s result-checking platforms to access individual results once published.
Earlier this year, UNEB released the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results on Tuesday, February 11.
A total of 10,141 candidates from 1,028 centres registered for the exams, with 4,369 (43.1%) being male and 5,373 (52.9%) female.
Among them, 813 candidates (8.0%) benefited from the Universal Secondary Education (USE) programme, while 8,929 (88.0%) were non-USE students.
Out of the total registered candidates, 9,742 (96.1%) sat for the exams, while 399 did not appear.
Overall, 350,146 candidates, representing 98.05% of those who sat, met the requirements for the UCE certificate.
It should be recalled that UNEB also released the 2024 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results on Thursday, January 23.
