In his own words, the artist called it, "The One million dollar Entry." He wasn't blowing his own trumpet, the loud hush of anticipation in the Royal Regency Hall was so loud as Alien Skin made his first stage appearance in Great Britain.

Over 800 people and revellers gathered in London's famous Royal Regency Hall for the Purple Party London edition. The event saw artists David Lutalo, Mikie Wine, Azawi, and Alien Skin entertain revellers in UK's capital. As the headline act and current sensation in the local music industry, Skin was an awaited experience for The Big Smoke dwellers.

Followed by the production crew, he stepped on stage in his famous combat outfit but with a white towel covering his head. He entered to the sound of event organiser Douglas Lwanga introducing him by the vernacular version of his stage name "Kimenke" loosely translated as Alien.

In true fashion of his regular music release, DJ Mercy dropped the beat of his famous "Sitya Danger" song as Skin immediately go into the performance.

The anticipation for the eccentric artist that had grabbed public attention both in Uganda and London came to a head in a video Skin posted of his entrance.

A while back fans of reggaeton singer Daddy Yankee started to suspect there was significance to his seeming obsession with a white towel during the performance of his song "Gasolina". However, the budding cult theory was debunked by people privy to musician stage performances. The towel is usually to wipe off excessive sweet especially when surrounded by powerful light and doing demanding performances. Some artists even demand them.

But in Yankee's case, the towel is also a prop to wave at certain points of the song.

Alien Skin is usually seen with a white towel on him from his home videos, his recent concert and now in London. Whether it's a habit from his mechanic ventures or his performances, you won't catch him with one.
