Some people always look like they have their life all together. Their outfits are never out of place and their smile never breaks. How do they do it and what sorcery is that?
To achieve that minimalist yet elevated look, here are some tips to use.
1. Wear sunglasses
No matter what your outfit is, wear a nice and appropriate pair of sunglasses. It is the all-time favourite to look effortlessly chic or handsome. Sunglasses can make any outfit look sophisticated and purposeful and offer great protection for your sight.
2. Wear the perfect watch
Watches are a status symbol accessory. They indicate class and taste and will make you look classic and classy. You don't need to wear luxury watches to look fancy. Get a simple quality watch that will match your outfits.
3. Wear lipstick
Lipstick will make you feel put together in any outfit. It could be sweats and a cap or baggy, and lipstick will elevate it to a chic look in no time. It also keeps people's eyes on your face so they don't notice anything minor that could be affecting your look.
4. Wear a signature scent
Just like fresh clothes, a touch of fragrance will make you feel fresh and clean. It will boost your mood and make you appear more confident and happy when you put it on. You can have a collection of fragrances or just one for any occasion.
5. Remove clutter from your bag every other week or month
No one looks well put together while rummaging through your bag and making noise with your bottles, keys, receipt papers, and coins. Plus all that clutter makes your bag heavier over time and eventually looks sloppy.
Empty your bag once in a while and remove non-essentials and old stuff, and restock essentials.
6. Have the basics
Your wardrobe should be at least 70 percent quality basics. The basics include jeans, a jacket, a black dress, a sweater, nice t-shirts, button-downs, and other basic outfit clothes. These basics make the foundation for most of your outfits and leave room for you to elevate with accessories and the other 30 percent of accent pieces. So get quality basic clothes.
7. Get more neutral colour clothes
Neutrals are timeless and sophisticated. They are easy to match and mix with the brights and darks in your closet to build outfits that look simple yet powerful. They also don't draw too much attention.
8. Add texture to our outfits
Adding texture to an outfit can elevate it immediately without you having to change colours or accessories. It gives your outfit dimension. Cotton is a common texture but doesn't give the same dimension as leather, linen, suede, velvet, silk, knit, chiffon, denim, tweed, and suede among others.
