According to CNN, Uganda is a one-stop destination with a lot to offer within its borders and the bucket list keeps growing.
"From the expansive shores of Lake Victoria to the snowy Rwenzori Mountains, Uganda is a beautiful wilderness playground, with opportunities for adventure including treks through the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest or up to the craters of the Virunga volcano chain or whitewater rafting along the Victoria Nile," CNN says.
CNN also commended Uganda for its hospitality that allows visitors to 'take a walk in the locals' shoes' and broaden their palates.
"There’s also an emphasis on connecting visitors with Ugandan communities — promising tastes of Ugandan food, music and culture. Last year saw the launch of the Uganda Cycling Trail, a 1,600-kilometer mainly unpaved 22-stage route designed to appeal to all levels of cyclist from hardcore solo bikepackers to fully-guided easy riders," CNN adds.
They say there is considerable change in Uganda's travel offers at the moment with the country going beyond the traditional staples of wildlife and safari inspired by both regional and international visitors.
That Uganda has ventured away from the Big Five beasts and mountain gorillas offers for wealthy visitors, into marketing its other unique features.
Uganda recently adjusted its identity as a dream destination not only for tourists but travelers in general.
According to Uganda Tourism Board Chief Executive Lilly Ajarova, the Pearl of Africa is value for money for visitors. 'We might have them in smaller quantities but we have everything else the world has'.
