It’s also similar to how she joined WBS TV. According to her, they used to see her during media appearances and when Karitas Karisimbi was going on leave, Dave Junior Kazoora recommended that they hire her.

Koheirwe sat in for Karitas Karisimbi to host Showtime Magazine. She got the gig while at university and Karisimbi never returned to the station. Koheirwe was later moved from Showtime to Fitness Watch.

Cleopatra Koheirwe was the only child born to Jocelyn Twinesanyu Sanyu Rwekikiga and Anthony Abamwikirize Bateyo in 1982.

She lost her dad before she was born and it is believed he was killed by the government after being accused of being a spy during the bush war that ushered in the current government.

He was a university lecturer.

Her mother died when she was 15 in S.3.

She went to Nakasero Primary School, Bugema Adventist S.S., Namasagali College and Makerere University where she studied Social Sciences.

The death of her mom inspired her to write a lot and she penned lots of poems.

She ended up becoming a contributor to the school's editorial board. She always loved reading.

She would later work with Andre Ringen, the photographer ex-husband of singer Grace Nakirema – when he founded African Woman Magazine and took on Sylvia Owori as the publisher.

Her artistry came out when she joined Namasagali in A-Level. It’s also because of Namasagali that she was able to join Obsessions, as Martin Mugonyi, one of the founding members of the dance group, was her classmate. Even Ronnie Mulindwa who managed the group was in the same school.

She joined Obsessions while at university though she was meant to join in 1999 the group had just started but her parents refused. She was in S.5 at that time.

She was involved in choir while in primary school, so her musical skills were nurtured at a young age.

She left Obsessions in June 2007 and she was there for about seven years

Cleopatra, who is also an actress, has had stints at multiple jobs, including working in public relations at StarTimes Uganda and Mestil Hotel. She also worked with among others KIU FM, Hot100 and Radio City.
